SNAPP Nasal Interface

CareFusion has created an innovative system called the SNAPP (Soft Nasal Accessory for Positive Pressure.) The mask has three features ensuring comfort, secure seal and compatibility. First, the cushion bellows expand and compress with patient's breathing, while also providing a secure seal in the nostril. Second, the Nasal Prong design which follows the facial contour below the nares, provides a seal for the inner and outer rim of the nose. Finally, the special 360 degree swivel elbows enable the cushion to self-adjust and correct for optimum prong insertion. The cushion body seals once the head straps are adjusted for patient comfort. This feature addresses the soreness some patients experience when cushions contact only the inside of their nose.
